COMMUNITY AWARENESS PRESENTATIONS

Is your organization or community group seeking to gain an initial understanding of the issue of human trafficking and its prevalence and impact in our community?

Our Community Awareness Presentations are led by lived-experience experts and offer the perfect opportunity for increased awareness, Q&A, and an overview of the opportunities available to you to make a real impact in your community.

Community Awareness Presentations range from 20-60 minutes and cover selections of the following topics, based on your organization’s specific needs or interests.

  • Global/national/state/local prevalence
  • Risk factors for exploitation
  • Indicators of exploitation
  • Direct service programming available to survivors
  • Referral process & contact information to access services
  • An overview of The Avery Center service offerings and research activities

If travel and training expenses prevent your organization from booking a training, we are happy to connect you with a Survivor Leader near you who would be able to deliver a Community Awareness Presentation to not only ensure your group is receiving quality, informative content, but also to ensure your training budget is used most efficiently. Please include this information when submitting the form above.

The Avery Center is dedicated to the economic empowerment of survivors of human trafficking. Our specialized training sessions, available to professionals in all community sectors, require compensating the lived experience experts who contribute and deliver this content. In order to exact the change we seek, we must actively model it in our own work. We appreciate the collective effort that agencies and groups seeking our industry-leading training sessions put forth to make this possible.
