How did you first learn about and begin working with The Avery Center? How long have you been with the organization?
I got in touch with Megan through another survivor at the beginning of my journey, that’s how I came to know of Free Our Girls/The Avery Center. I started the Job Training Program in 2017.
What do you think sets The Avery Center apart from other organizations in this sector?
Listening to our clients and providing for their needs.
What's your favorite part/the most fulfilling part of your role?
The most fulfilling part of my role is uplifting and inspiring other survivors and helping them accomplish goals.
What do you enjoy doing when you're not at The Avery Center?
I enjoy sleeping and home cooked meals with family.
Who is someone you admire, and why?
I admire Megan for her drive her strength and how big she dreams.
Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
One thing I am skilled in and certified in is food handling at a manager level.
What advice would you give someone who wants to join the Avery team of superstars?
Making a difference is a big deal be apart of the difference.
