Research Coordinator: E-Course Development

How did you first learn about and begin working with The Avery Center?

I first heard about TAC through a friend's relative when I was looking for organizations to intern at. When I reached out about interning it felt like a perfect fit because they were starting an evaluation program and that's what I was essentially going to school for. Once my internship was over, I expressed my interest to continue working with TAC and they offered me a position on their research team.

How long have you been with the organization?

September 26, 2022

What's your favorite part/the most fulfilling part of your role?

That I get to develop a platform that will provide valuable information for other anti-trafficking organizations to utilize. Information is power!

What do you enjoy doing when you're not at The Avery Center?

Yoga, exploring new places, listening to podcasts, taking baths, and being close to the ocean.

Favorite book/audiobook/podcast:

Book: Women that Run with the Wolves
Podcast: My Favorite Murder

TV show you're hooked on:

Recently, Yellowstone

One of my desires is to bring awareness, research, and services to survivors of familial trafficking. Survivors of familial trafficking are often unseen, not represented in research, and not acknowledged within the anti-trafficking community.
