How did you first learn about and begin working with The Avery Center?
I learned about The Avery Center (the Free Our Girls) when I was a graduate student at UNC from Dr. Henderson. I have been following the organization on Facebook since then. I started volunteering when they posted they were looking for someone to help with some photography projects in December of 2019.
What's your favorite part/the most fulfilling part of your role?
I love being able to help this organization as I believe in their mission and their work.
What do you enjoy doing when you're not at The Avery Center?
