Lisa Finley
Operations Coordinator
How did you first learn about and begin working with The Avery Center? How long have you been with the organization?
I first learned about Free Our Girls/The Avery Center in 2015. I used to work at UNC and met Megan there.
I began working with the organization in May 2022.
What do you enjoy doing when you're not at The Avery Center?
I have a lot of interests! When I’m not doing Avery work, I can be found working in the paint department at Lowe’s. I found I really enjoy helping the customers! I attend Front Range Community College for Integrative Health. When I am not doing any of those, I am home with my fur babies. My purpose in life is to assist others with finding anxiety/stress management resources that work for them, so I ‘collect’ stress and anxiety resources whenever I come across them. One of my favorite things is walking in nature. I love genealogy/family history and discovering the well-kept family secrets of my ancestors. I love to dance! And I love to read – both fiction and self-improvement/spiritual. I am a life-long learner (love to learn new things)!
Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
I am a Reiki Master Practitioner and a Jin Shin Practitioner.
