Hannah is making a difference

Hannah Hayes

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

How did you first learn about and begin working with The Avery Center? How long have you been with the organization?

I was introduced to The Avery Center through the previous grant writer, Jennifer. She spoke so highly of the staff and organization that I was jumping at the opportunity to join the team. I started working with TAC in January 2021.

What do you think sets The Avery Center apart from other organizations in this sector?

The focus on research and direct practice within TAC truly sets it apart in my mind. TAC brings excellence into every program. Survivors are surrounded with a level of individualized and comprehensive care that is hard to find anywhere else.

What's your favorite part/the most fulfilling part of your role?

My favorite part of this role is the opportunity to listen, learn, and communicate. This team is incredible, and I love being able to share what TAC is doing with others.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not at The Avery Center?

Reading, being outdoors, and spending time with family/friends.

Who is someone you admire, and why?

My deepest admiration goes to my mother, Marie. She empowers, inspires, and portrays love in its purest form through her everyday actions.

Favorite book:

My most beloved book is Anne of Green Gables, but my favorite is probably Fahrenheit 451.
